The Cool Cat classroom is your child’s last stop before kindergarten. We are here to help develop the skills and confidence they need to be successful in school. The children practice using scissors, making art independently, basic math, social skills, promoting independence, reading and writing their own names so they are equipped with all the skills they need for their next step. In this classroom, we formulate the lesson plans based on the interests of the children and are ever-expanding their knowledge of the world. We believe in taking a hands-on approach to learning and making our learning environment safe, inviting and fun! We believe in working in unison with parents to ensure consistency between home care and our childcare. We are excited to be a part of your child’s journey.

Schedule:

6:30-7:30 Drop off, free play

7:30-8:30 Breakfast

8:30-9:00 Free play, small group activities

9:00-9:30 Large group circle time, reading stories, discussing new ideas, sharing stories

9:30-10:45 Small group activities, planned activities, writing, reading

10:45-11:45 Outdoor play or indoor large movement time in gym

11:45-1:00 Prepare for lunch, lunch, bathroom break, clean up lunch and prepare for nap 1:00-3:00 Nap/rest time

3:00-3:30 Waking up, bathroom break, snack

3:30-3:45 Large group circle time, introduce afternoon activities, story time

3:45-4:15 Table activities, art projects, puzzles, manipulatives, small group activities 4:15-5:30 Free play, outdoor play, indoor large muscle play in the gym

5:30-6:00 Departure, combine with Happy Face classroom
