Teddy Bears (16 months - 24 months)
In the Teddy Bear classroom, we focus on transitioning the children from infants to toddlers. When the children enter our room, their physical and language skills are still developing, so every child’s development is self-paced, and we cater to their needs and abilities. As the children mature, we encourage them to begin using their words to express themselves, exploring their environment using all their senses and building friendships that will last through the years. Through play and structured activities, the children are improving their cognitive development, improving communication, problem solving skills, fine and gross motor skills, nurturing imagination and promoting creativity. We provide open lines of communication by sending home a “daily sheet” of your child’s daily experiences as well as talking to parents at drop-off and pick-up. We believe in working in unison with parents to ensure consistency between home care and our childcare. We are excited to be a part of your child’s journey.
